Jesus Loves the Orphans – Please Read & Pray! 6-16-23

Serving the Orphans with the Loving Touch of Jesus!

Janet and Joanita are two sisters at the orphanage. Janet is 10 years old, and Joanita is 12 years old. The two sisters were brought to the Orphanage at the ages of 5 and 7 years old. They were rescued from the mudslides in the Mountain Villages of Mbale Uganda. But unfortunately, both their parents didn’t survive the mudslides that affected their village leaving the two sisters orphans. A Christian believer from the village who knew the Late Bishop Patrick Okabe called him about the children and they were blessed with a place of refuge at the orphanage. Having lost both parents they have been raised at the orphanage. The two sisters are very happy to be at the orphanage. They have been provided with a Christ Centered education. They are part of the children’s Orphanage Choir that sings at the Impact Ministries Church. They hope one day when they leave the orphanage, they can teach kids all over Mbale town about Jesus with street evangelism. Jesus truly is their hope!

Ismail joined the orphanage at 5 years old his now 8. Ismail was rescued from his Muslim stepmother after his father died in a car accident together with his biological mother. His stepmother was very abusive towards him leaving him for days with hunger, child labor and being beaten for no reason. Neighbors got worrying concern about the situation and one day called the police who arrested his stepmother. A good Samaritan brought Ismail to the orphanage. He never felt so welcome and became happy. Ismail was fed and clothed and then one day in Sunday School he asked to receive Christ as his personal Lord and Savior! Ismail denounce Muslim religion of his family. Ismail says he prays for his stepmom to receive Jesus and also hopes she can reconcile with her. Ismail loves soccer and hopes to grow up at the orphanage and play for the Uganda soccer team, where he can share Jesus to others through his talent.

“Do you love me?” … Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep”

With your help we provide the loving touch of Jesus to the 525 children at the orphanage. We provide a safe and secure home to sleep and learn all about Jesus while making lots of new friends. We provide food, medicine, clothing, education, and skills training to prepare the older children to leave the orphanage to live successful independent Christ focused lives!

Our prayer is that Jesus Christ would be glorified in all we do for the orphans, and that our loving Father in Heaven will continue to provide for us through the generous giving and daily prayers of our ministry partners.

“… whatever you did for one of the least of these …, you did for me.’”
