This is Felista, she is 9 and came to us when she was 5 years old. Her mother died while giving birth to her and her father died of alcoholism.
She was raised by her Auntie but at the age of 5 her Auntie died from HIV. Felista was left alone as the only child to fend for herself. Good Samaritan’s brought her to the orphanage where we admitted her immediately. Felista loves Jesus and is very thankful to have a real home at the orphanage.
She says she’s happy to have so many sisters and brothers who are just like her, they are a happy family. Felista loves to write and says she would love to become an author when she grows up.
Doreen is 6 years old. She joined the orphanage at 3. She lost both her parents to Covid. Her parents were members of the Impact Ministries Mother Church.
She was admitted to the orphanage by the late Pastor Patrick Okabe. Doreen has grown to be a joyful young girl who loves Jesus.
She loves to play with the other children and seems to always put a smile on all the other kids faces.
Her best friend is Jessica, and they love reading the Bible story books together. The family created by the orphanage has created a very real and tangible hope in her for Christ Jesus.
