I would like to provide you with information on the current economic crisis in Uganda.
After the impact of Corona Virus on the economy of Uganda there was a slow economic recovery. However, the global economic crisis has not spared Uganda. Uganda is a land locked country. Her economy largely depends on coffee exports and Tourism. Most Ugandan people are peasant farmers largely dependent on subsistence agriculture. The current economic crisis started with the fuel crisis. The cost of fuel increased by 50 percent. This has also increased the cost of commodities. Currently many Ugandans are just surviving. Food prices doubled. The price of Maize meal and beans we have been serving to the children in the orphanage has doubled. Our monthly budget has been affected and we struggle to make it to the end of the month.
The government will be reading the national budget 2022/2023 on 14th June and it is expected to increase taxes to raise the revenue. This will also affect the cost of living for the people in Uganda. The orphanage and Faith radio operations will equally be costly.
We believe and trust that God will provide, and the ministry will go on and continue to change the lives of children and save the lost. This week we are fasting and praying for the nation, and we also commit all our sponsors to the Lord in prayer. We know that you also have similar challenges, and we all need to depend on God.

We are thankful to the Lord for His provision for the Orphanage, Faith Radio and the Mother Church. Mbale Town where we are based was recently lifted to a city. We see that as a great door of opportunity that has opened to the church to do ministry and reach more lost souls.
Today I introduce to you this young boy Elisha (blue shirt in photo above) who is 4 years old. Elisha comes from a village about 8 kilometers from Mbale City. I met him in the street In Mbale. He was cleaning cars and I have seen him doing that every day. This time he came to my car holding a piece of wet cloth and a bucket wanting to clean my car. I took the opportunity to talk to him and asked him why he was not in school. He told me his mother needs money. Elisha’s poor single mother sent him daily to clean cars and get some money to take back to her. Elisha always left home early to come to town to clean cars and get some money. He would return home late at 7pm and his mother would thank him for the little money he had worked for. Many children are still in the streets and are involved in child labor. I rescued Elisha from the hard life of the streets, and he is today happy and staying in Impact Orphanage. Elisha and many other children like him need our help. Your support is helping us save the children with the loving touch of Jesus!
Please pray for us that we find grace in the sight of God each day and that God will continue using the partnership between FLMUSA and Impact Ministries Uganda to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ. Pray that we continue receiving support that we need so we can continue being a blessing.
Pray for God to provide funds to complete the Mother church building. As you realize that we are a Christ Centered Ministry and all we do is church based and for the glory of God. We need this church and offices completed to strategically reach the nation of Uganda with the Gospel.
Also pray for the funds to come in to help us proceed with the expansion of the medical clinic to take care of the children who fall sick in the orphanage.
