Greetings from Impact Ministries Uganda.
We remain focused on changing lives for Good through the Resurrection Power and hope of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We Give God all the Glory for changing the lives of the children who have been redeemed and cared for through the ongoing mission of Impact Orphanage Uganda.
After nearly 20 years of partnership with First Love Ministries USA Impact Orphanage has become the home of nearly 600 children and much is required to feed, educate, and care for the needs of each child 24/7/365.
Through the years the LORD has blessed us with many faithful and generous partners who have given us the financial support we have needed. God has been faithful to provide able and joyful givers, prospering them, so that they have been able to bring the loving touch of Jesus to the children entrusted to our care.
Today I invite you to look at our dormitories. We have boy’s and girl’s dormitories. The dormitories are named. The small girls live in the Little Angels dormitory, with rooms given names like Zion, King David, Jericho for boys. The rooms can accommodate up to 60 children.
In the photos you will notice the children have tin boxes by their beds to keep their personal belongings. You will also notice that most beds no longer have mosquito nets. The mosquito nets get torn and need regular replacement. We can bring malaria under control by fumigating regularly and providing the children with nets.
We have a shortage of beds and mattresses. As you can see in the photos attached some children sleep on the floor. These items need annual replacements and repairs. We urgently need 100 double decker beds, 200 mattresses. Beds cost $100 each and mattresses cost $30 each.
Please do pray for the expansion of the medical clinic. When children get sick, we need to isolate them and keep them in the sick bay. Our clinic now has only 2 beds, and the Nurse has no office or store for medicines. After the proposed expansion we will have additional 10 beds, at treatment room, a Nurse’s office, and a medicine storage room. Please pray for this need with purpose and compassion.
Please know that we continually pray for each of you, our ministry partners. The children have not seen you in person, but mention you in their prayers, they know that they have Christians in America who care about them.
