She lost both her parents to HIV\/AIDS.<br><br>Salome was placed under a caretaker of her auntie and was mistreated by being forced into child labor and tortured. But she escaped to the streets of Mbale. The Police found her and brought her to the safety of the orphanage.<br><br>Salome says she has a home now, with many wonderful friends, she feels and knows the love of Jesus at the orphanage. She says it is like having a father and mother again.<br><br>Salome loves reciting Bible verses with her friends. Like so many others, her parents must have left her on the streets because they were destitute and living in poverty.<br><br>No one has come forward and we don\u2019t know Hannah\u2019s parents whereabouts. Hanna was very afraid at first but slowly began to feel and know the love of Jesus all around her. She has made many new friends in the orphanage. She fells welcome and at home with God as her Father.<br><br>Hannah\u2019s best friend, the little girl with the big smile in the picture, is called Jane. Jane is a wonderful encouragement to Hanna.
