Orphans are Special to Jesus! – Read & Pray – 2-24-25 Uganda Update

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”

“… whatever you did for one of the least of these …, you did for me.’”

Medina is 6 years old and came to us as a 4-year-old, a victim of child abuse by her stepmother. Her birth mother died of cancer and her father, an alcoholic, died soon thereafter.

The neighbors noticed that Medina’s stepmother abused her, by leaving her hungry and beating her with a rod. They notified the police, and Medina was brought to us at the orphanage.

At first Medina was afraid, lonely, and very sad. But as a result of the love poured out by the staff and the other children, she started feeling safe and at home with us.

Medina loves to write and play netball with her sisters at the orphanage. She is always smiling with the light of Jesus in her thankful heart!.

We are thankful Medina is a part of the orphanage family; every day she brings joy to other children.

Annet is 8 years old and came to the orphanage at 3 years old. She lost her parents in a major car crash.

She was among the survivors of a horrible accident, and we consider her a miracle child. The police failed to identify her immediate family but one of the church members at Impact Church knew her parents. We took Annet to the hospital and when she was released brought her home to the orphanage. We tried to trace her relatives, but we couldn’t find anyone.

Annet used to be shy and afraid but with proper care and the love of Jesus she has a real home. She has many friends, all the brothers and sisters that make the orphanage a true home for the orphan!

Annet is a joy to be around; she loves singing, dancing and reading the Bible. Her favorite part of the Bible is Psalm 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd”.

The Children Are Thankful For Their New Beds
